Sat, 3 Feb - Sun 4 Feb 2007 - BarCampAdelaide - Moana

The name 'BarCamp' is a play on the word 'Foobar' which is commonly used in nonsense work in Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) circles. The shortened word 'Foo' is sometimes used instead, which was the case in the orifinal 'FooCamp', a legibly elitist meeting organised as brain storming / chew the fat session some of the greater known names in FOSS. A counter culture was inspired, and 'BarCamp's were born.

This was the first BarCamp to be held in Adelaide.
